Registered Nurse - Assessment and Referral

As an Registered Nurse in our Intake Department, you will be responsible for reviewing prospective admissions, conducting initial clinical assessments, and coordinating with physicians, families, and insurance providers to facilitate patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong assessment skills.Key Responsibilities:Assessment: Conduct thorough, timely clinical, physical, and mental health assessments for prospective patientsAdmissions Processing: Review prospective admissions against established criteria, policies, and proceduresCommunication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, referral sources, and medical staff to ensure a smooth transition into treatmentDocumentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standardsSafety: Perform risk assessments, including fall risk and suicide risk assessments, during the intake processCollaboration: Work with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain authorizations for treatmentSchedule is Sundays from 7:00pm to 7:30am and as needed to fill coverage gapsRequirementsCurrent valid Nevada State RN License requiredMinimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an inpatient settingBehavioral Health experience preferredCurrent BLS/CPR certificationStrong communication and interpersonal skillsBenefits401K Retirement Plan
