START DATE: 2026-27 School Year CONTRACT: 1.0 FTEBENEFITS: Eligible for retirement, medical/dental insurance, long-term disabilityAll candidates who wish to be considered for this position must complete and submit the online employment application.APPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until filledQualificationsValid Washington State Teaching Certificate with appropriate CTE endorsement, or qualifications to work towards the appropriate CTE endorsementMinimum of three years of paid work experience in the HVAC/refrigeration/electrical industriesExperience in teaching at the secondary level preferredKnowledge of current industry trends in the HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and related fieldsKnowledge of current trends in curriculum, instruction and technologyDemonstrated ability to plan and implement programs to meet the needs of diverse learnersDemonstrated evidence of skills to provide a productive learning environmentAbility to work cooperatively with othersEffective human relations and communication skills with students, parents, staff and community membersEffective organization skills and experience with documentationAbility to meet deadlinesDuties and ResponsibilitiesWork cooperatively with administration and staff to develop and implement instructional programs and activitiesEffectively teach the approved curriculum using appropriate instructional methods and materials in alignment with state approved course frameworks to meet district objectives for student learning; ensure the integration of core academic standards with industry standardsProvide leadership opportunities for students in accordance with state CTE program standards; align with SkillsUSA standardsPromote post-secondary training and employment opportunities for students through articulation and dual credit agreements, industry partnerships and work based learning opportunitiesUtilize technology tools such as student learning management systems to communicate learning progress with students and parentsDevelop and maintain an advisory committee made up of individuals from the HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and related industries; prepare state compliance requirements for and host a minimum of three meetings per yearComplete and maintain required reports and records in alignment with state and local CTE standards, including those for national certification of the program (OSHA 30 and EPA 608)Maintain required training for nationally certified program (OSHA 30 and EPA 608)Establish and maintain appropriate standards for classroom progress and behavior to provide a supportive and productive learning environmentOrganize, maintain and manage a clean and safe laboratory and classroom facilitySALARY: 2025-26 District Teacher Salary Schedule. 2026-27 Salary Schedule TBDEqual Opportunity Employer
