Controls Engineer

Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and or computer sciences. · 5+ years of experience in designing controls & automation systems including Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Human Machine Interface (HMI), VFD’s, and Motor starter circuits. · Deep knowledge of CANbus, Ethernet Protocols, Modbus, and Serial communication. · Ability to develop electrical schematics and component layout using AutoCAD. · Proficiency in LabVIEW, IQAN Design, Studio 5000, preferred. · Proficient in UL508a design standards. · Knowledge of vision and robotic systems in preferred. · English Language. Responsibilities · Ability to leverage product performance and customer feedback to continuously improve and design new products to cater to different industries. · Designing and analyzing automation/control systems based on customer needs and product performance. · Design and produce detailed 2D layout models and drawings including electrical enclosures, for production using AutoCAD. · Performing electrical calculations, simulations, and modeling to predict the behavior and performance of automation/electrical control systems. · Demonstrate working knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical system design including motor starter panel, variable speed drive, PLC’S and control panel wiring. · Prepares functional test procedures for packaged equipment. · Prepare customer facing user manuals. · Provides technical support to manufacturing during fabrication of equipment and participates in LEAN manufacturing process improvement initiatives. · Identifies and executes product standardization opportunities and participates in new product development initiatives. Compensation · $90,000 - $110,000 (Depending on experience) Salary per year with the opportunity for profit sharing bonus.
