May require TIG welding.Duties And ResponsibilitiesClean and Polish stainless-steel slides and other productsGrinds, files, or sands surfaces of metal items, specifically stainless-steel slides, but may work on other products or metalsMay require TIG weldingWill use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques: Examines and feels surface of metal to detect defects, such as dents, scratches, or breaks in metal.Removes dents, using hammer and dolly block, and fills uneven surface with molten solder.Smooths surface of item to specified finish, using hand tools and powered tools.May polish metal surface, using powered polishing wheel or belt.ATTRIBUTESHigh Attention to DetailAppreciation of quality and artist finishQualificationsMust Have knowledge of Finishes #2, #3, and mirror finish.TIG Welding experience preferred.Must be able to work with minimal supervision.5 to 7 years of prior experience as a Stainless Steel Finisher in any industry.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a regular basis.Must pass a skills and quality test prior to hiring.This position description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
