CRE-Debt Originations Analyst

CRE-DEBT ORIGINATION ANALYST-Beverly Hills, CA.Our Client is a successful privately-owned commercial real estate investment and private lender with over 30 years of real estate experience. The Debt Origination Analyst is an excellent opportunity to join a growing, commercial real estate investment/private lending firm in an entry level position focused on growth, mentorship and an advancing career path and the full lifecycle of a private finance deal from origination to payoff.Responsibilities to include:Review prospective loan opportunities, understanding the request and assessing deal viability,Engage with existing company contacts to procure new deals and build relationships,Make decisions on pursuing or passing on deals, providing clear, appropriate and timely communication to brokers,Update Salesforce deal and broker information into Salesforce on a consistent and timely basis, maintaining integrity of data and information,Conduct thorough research and underwriting of assets, analyzing borrower business plans and presenting deal information accurately to gain deal approval,Draft Letters of Intent (LOI)s for internal Associate and VP Review,Perform detailed market and sub-market research to refine assumptions and enhance deal understanding,Prepare for and conduct market contact calls to evaluate business plans, assets and market trends,Coordinate due diligence, escrow, title, and third-party reports,Draft Credit Memoranda for deal approval, ensuring all presented information is fact-checked, relevant, and well-documented,Assist in quarterly and annual re-underwriting of loans and assets, understanding borrower business plan progress and market shifts,Assist in equity side underwriting of existing assets.Create loan close and payoff materials for communication with investors.RequirementsBachelor's degree in finance, business, preferably Real Estate or related field. Advanced degree, such as MRED desirableDesire to build a career in commercial real estate investment field.2-3 years experience in commercial real estate, private lending, finance or related environment that includes the LA, SoCal real estate market.Analytical mind set, ability to multitask with a high degree of organizational skill.An understanding and interest in capital markets principles is helpful.Proficiency in data sourcing, data collection, analytics, and/or reporting.Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.Proficiency in financial modeling in Excel, familiarity with cash flows, IRR calculation and scenario analysis.Highly organized and detail oriented.Overall internet and computer strength utilizing internet research skills, variety of software programs and office applications and systems.Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to work with multiple audiences.
