Mechanical Design Engineer

4 Months Contract with possibility of extensionSeeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support existing products, drive Cost Value Engineering initiatives, and assist in the development of new mechatronic products. This onsite role involves designing and developing mechanical hardware, collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams, supporting troubleshooting activities, and working with vendors to optimize product design and manufacturing processes. Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. No travel required.Responsibilities:Design and modify mechanical components using 3D Modeling Software for mechatronic productsDevelop mechanical layouts, component details, and engineering illustrationsSupport development of controllers, sensors, actuators, enclosures, and accessoriesPrepare technical documentation, engineering reports, specifications, and project schedulesCollaborate with engineers, lab teams, technicians, technical writers, and vendorsSupport assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, and validation of electro-mechanical devicesWork with suppliers to optimize tooling, production costing, and manufacturing processesAssist field teams and customers with product troubleshooting and issue resolutionUtilize Siemens NX, TeamCenter, SAP ERP, and Microsoft Office toolsQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 3 years of mechanical design experience in electro-mechanical productsStrong knowledge of manufacturing processes, assembly, and fabricationHands-on experience with Siemens PLM NX, TeamCenter, and SAP ERP systems preferredExperience in mechanical laboratory or hands-on engineering environments is a plusStrong written communication skills for engineering reports and specificationsProficiency with 3D CAD modeling, project management, and engineering software
