Medical Assistant (MED AST 2)

Under general supervision, provide first level, non-licensed support for assigned medical provider(s) to assist with clinical administrative support as directed. Obtain vital signs and brief medical history, assist with medical examinations and procedures, make appropriate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), maintain supplies/equipment, clean exam rooms and sterilize equipment. Provide front office support, register patients, determine eligibility for services and update as necessary and schedule appointments per SHCS procedure. Complete necessary paperwork and scheduling requirements for physical exams and travel clinic appointments.
