3rd Shift Molding Process Technician

Job DescriptionMolding Process Technicians assist in safely optimizing and maintaining the performance of the injection molding equipment and the product being produced.Daily ResponsibilitiesReport cavitation and cycle time per assigned aisle to productionThis includes maintaining as close to full cavitation and standard cycle as possibleMaintain assigned aisleIncludes machine startups, shutdowns, and restarts as needed, prepping and completing IML or color changes and assist as needed with mold changesAssist with other aisles based on workload and shift supervisor directionUnderstand all material used (resin, color, additive)Know and follow all safety rules, GMP’S, SQF, and HACCP rulesKnow where all safety guards are and their purposeKnow hazards of equipment and how to safely controls said hazards (LOTO)Inspect and maintain 5S, housekeeping, and equipment. Report any items not running to standardComplete assigned PM’s. Clean, inspect, and lubrication molds outside PM’s as neededWipe down mold face/parting line, clean suction cups, and inspect hoses on assigned machinesUtilize process sheets and change logs to maintain optimal procedureComplete Gemba walks with incoming and outgoing shiftsProvide summary, upcoming changes to incoming shiftDiscuss upcoming events and continued work from outgoing shiftTroubleshoot quality defects or machine issues. Determine root cause and get appropriate departments involvedComplete all required trainingQualificationsHave a good work & attendance recordPossess mechanical aptitudeAble to work extended shifts and weekends as necessaryHave good verbal & written communication skillsPossess good math & computer skillsHave a good safety recordProblem solving skillsHigh School diploma or GED equivalentPhysical QualificationsMust be able to lift 35 pounds regularlyAbility to climb up and down laddersMust be able to stand for extended periods, bend, stoop and stretch regularlyAbility to work around grease, oil and solvents without adverse reactionMust be able to differentiate color3rd shift: 11:00 pm to 7:30 amStarting pay: $21.53/hr, plus $1.00/hr shift differentialOur ExpectationsWe Expect Our People To Be Guided By The Amcor Way And Demonstrate Our Values Every Day To Enable The Business To Win.
