Job Description
Job SummaryThe Casino Surveillance Agent is responsible for monitoring and safeguarding all casino and hotel operations through advanced surveillance systems. This role plays a vital part in protecting the integrity of casino operations by conducting discreet surveillance of key areas, including but not limited to the Count Rooms, Coin Room, Slot machines, Booths, Cashier Areas, Cage, and Vaults. The agent identifies, investigates, and documents suspicious, illegal, or unusual activities while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, local, and gaming regulations.Education & Experience• High school diploma or equivalent required.• Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish) is mandatory.• Must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid Casino License issued by the Puerto Rico Gaming Commission.• Knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and operational procedures.• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in surveillance, security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.• Previous experience in a casino or gaming environment strongly preferred.• Familiarity with surveillance software, and digital video recording technology preferred.Skills & Competencies• Ability to closely monitor activity and detect irregularities or violations with precision.• Efficiently manage multiple monitors, tasks, and incidents simultaneously without loss of focus.• Capable of evaluating situations objectively and identifying patterns or suspicious behaviors.• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively document incidents and relay findings.• Maintain calm and clear judgment during high-pressure or emergency situations.• Comfortable troubleshooting basic technical issues with surveillance equipment or software.• Quickly adapt to new surveillance technologies, procedures, and regulatory changes.Physical Requirements• Ability to remain seated and vigilant for extended periods.• Ability to maintain alertness and focus in a busy, often noisy environment.• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and sometimes long hours.• Light work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
