Senior Cyber Underwriter

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Underwriter to join our team. This role will focus on underwriting complex cyber risks and driving the growth and profitability of our cyber portfolio. Key ResponsibilitiesUnderwrite and manage a diverse portfolio of intricate cyber insurance accounts, including large businesses and multinational entities. Forge and nurture robust relationships with brokers and clients to stimulate profitable growth within the cyber segment. Conduct thorough analyses of cyber risk exposures, review security controls, and assess coverage needs to offer customized insurance solutions. Collaborate with international underwriting teams, cyber risk engineers, and internal partners on large or specialized cyber accounts. Stay informed about cyber threat trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics to guide underwriting strategy and product innovation. Skills, Knowledge & AbilitiesExtensive technical expertise in cyber underwriting, covering areas such as data privacy, network security, ransomware, and business interruption risks. Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate complex cyber risks and devise innovative underwriting solutions. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, maintaining a client-focused approach. Proven proficiency in managing relationships with senior-level brokers and clients. Knowledge of global cyber insurance programs and multinational underwriting standards is advantageous. Additional RequirementsBachelor's degree required; CPCU or other relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are preferred. A minimum of 10 years of commercial underwriting experience, concentrating on cyber insurance or related specialty lines. Willingness to travel as needed for client and broker engagements. Eligibility to work in the United States. Experience within a global insurance framework is a plus. CompensationThe base salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $200,000, in addition to eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus. Actual compensation will be tailored based on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and location.
