WATER DISTRIBUTION / SEWER COLLECTIONS TECHNICIAN

Hoke County Public Works is seeking an individual to perform operation and maintenance on the water distribution and sewer collections system. This individual will perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, install service laterals, provide construction observation, maintain lift stations, maintain accurate records as required by regulatory agencies, read and accurately interpret blueprints, read meters and assist other Public Works Divisions as necessary. Candidates should be familiar with and have experience in operating equipment essential with maintaining a distribution/collections system. The successful candidate shall report directly to the Utilities Operations Manager.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED2-3 years experience in the water distribution and sewer collections or related field.Must obtain and maintain a Grade C Distribution and Grade I Collection License within 18 months of employment in the position.Possess and maintain a valid NC Class A Commercial Driver's License or have the ability to acquire the CDL within 6 months of employment.The Hoke County Public Works Department offers an attractive benefits package and starting salary commensurate with qualifications.
