Status: Full-timeSchedule: 8.00 Hours/Day (8:00 am-5:00 pm), Monday-Friday 260 Days/Year Minimum Annual Salary: $59,310.00Purpose Of PositionUnder the direct supervision of the Associate Program Director of Research and Evaluation, this position provides project management and coordination support to the Research and Evaluation Team based in the Compliance Office at the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). The Project Coordinator will provide coordination of efforts fundamental to moving forward with PDE's ongoing and emerging projects, such as the Educator Workforce legislative mandates, PDE Research Team projects, planning and implementation of the "New" Research Conference arm of the PDE Data Summit to begin in Spring 2027, Institutional Review Board tasks required through PDE's data request process, development of Research Briefs, and implementation of PDE's Research Scholar processes. As a member of the IU13 Statewide Team for PDE, the Project Coordinator will report to the Associate Program Director, while regularly communicating and engaging with the PDE Director of Compliance and senior leadership.Knowledge & Skill RequirementsEducation Required: Bachelor's degree in education, social science or related field preferred, or degree in business administration, project management, management, or a related field and relevant experience.Experience Required: Three or more years of relevant experience, specialized in managing high-level and complex projects that involve stakeholders at various levels; an understanding of educational processes and the needs of educators and students; an understanding of educational data from various levels (student through state-wide) and human subject research protections and relevant privacy regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPPA, etc.) a plus; experience planning, coordinating, and implementing large educational trainings or conferences; Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with collaboration tools, such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams and Zoom.Other Qualifications: A qualified applicant will be highly skilled in organization, problem-solving, attention to detail, and time management. Must have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills that include the ability to clearly convey information to multiple stakeholders and foster collaboration, including senior leadership at the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Secretary of Education. The ability to balance multiple responsibilities and deadlines and multitask and prioritize tasks. An ability to quickly resolve issues or delays is essential, while ensuring documentation and reports are accurate. Ability to effectively work both independently and as a member of a team with a variety of stakeholders. Professional attitude, self-directed, detail oriented with an ability to multi-task while facing multiple demands. Strong technology skills and able to handle complex information with a high level of integrity while maintaining fidelity and confidentiality.Licensure: Valid Driver's License: Travel within Pennsylvania or to venues outside Pennsylvania may be required
