DescriptionChief Financial Officer (CFO)We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and oversee all financial operations for a complex and mission-driven organization. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring strong internal controls, and guiding long-term financial planning. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in financial management, regulatory compliance, and organizational strategy, along with a collaborative and detail-oriented leadership style.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations, as well as audit and reporting requirements.Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational effectiveness and financial integrity.Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing financial insight to support organizational goals and long-term planning.Oversee risk management initiatives, identifying, monitoring, and mitigating financial and operational risks.Direct and manage internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.Collaborate with executive leadership and external stakeholders to align financial strategy with organizational priorities.Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team members, promoting accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational and financial optimization.Leverage financial systems and technology to streamline processes and enhance reporting and decision-making capabilities.Requirements• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or a detail oriented certification such as CPA is required.• At least ten years of progressively responsible financial management experience, including senior leadership roles.• Proven expertise in governmental or tribal finance, audit compliance, and regulatory requirements.• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, federal grant regulations, and internal controls.• Valid Washington State driver's license and a driving record that meets organizational standards.• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and criminal background checks, including State and National history checks.• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including adults and children.• Familiarity with the history, customs, and traditions of the local community is preferredJob typePerm
