Job Title: BuyerReports To: Purchasing ManagerLocation: Corona, CAEmployment Type: Hybrid after 90-day training period.Position SummaryThe Buyer supports day‐to‐day purchasing activities for a fast‐paced CPG manufacturing environment. This role is focused on ensuring uninterrupted material flow for ongoing production and new product activity by managing purchase orders, supplier communication, and inventory needs. The ideal candidate has hands‐on experience in beauty, personal care, or consumer packaged goods, can ramp up quickly, and is comfortable working with packaging components, raw materials, and international suppliers.Key Responsibilities:Purchasing & Order ExecutionManage day‐to‐day purchasing activities for assigned materials and components, including packaging, labels, raw materials, and related items.Create, review, and maintain purchase orders, ensuring accuracy across pricing, quantities, and delivery dates.Track open purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on‐time delivery.Executes procurement responsibilities with established suppliers, pricing structures, and sourcing strategies; escalates exceptions to the Purchasing Manager.Supplier & Order CoordinationServe as a primary point of contact with assigned vendors to confirm orders, resolve delivery issues, and address basic questions.Communicate delays, shortages, or discrepancies to internal stakeholders and escalate issues as needed.Inventory & Production SupportMonitor inventory levels and MRP signals to support uninterrupted production.Coordinate with Planning, Production, and Inventory Control teams to align material availability with production needs.Identify potential material risks and communicate proactively.Systems & DocumentationExecute purchasing transactions within the ERP/MRP system (Sage X3 preferred).Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing, and lead‐time data during the assignment.Follow established purchasing processes and procedures.Logistics & Import Support (As Needed)Manage shipping timelines to support continuity of supply.Assist with coordinating with freight carriers and internal teams to address shipment delays.Qualifications:Experience3–5 years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Experience working with suppliers and purchase orders required.Experience purchasing packaging components, labels, displays, or raw materials strongly valuedERP/MRP experience required; Sage X3 experience preferred.Skills & AttributesStrong attention to detail and follow‐through.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‐paced environment.Clear communication skills and collaborative working style.Able to ramp up quickly and work within existing systems and processes.Education:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
