This position provides an excellent opportunity for a new professional to cut their teeth in adapted physical education with a really dynamic, experienced, and connected district wide team of APE and PE teachers. This position also provides an opportunity for an experienced adapted physical education teacher looking for increased opportunities to collaborate with physical education teachers to co-plan differentiated learning opportunities where all students can gain health benefits. SUMMARY: Plans, implements, and instructs physical activities for students who possess various disabilities. Coordinates community-based sport/recreational/social activities. Works with appropriate staff to provide the best possible environment and motor activities for students. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in specially designed physical education. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES: Possess and maintain or be eligible to hold a current Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license in adaptive physical education, code 860.
