Fork Truck DriverThe fork truck driver is responsible for the unloading and control of all incoming material from external suppliers, internal material transfers, or other inbound freight. They will be responsible for the material handling of raw materials and the movement of material throughout the facility including all storage areas, stockroom cages and production areas. Inventory control and accuracy are critical in this role.ResponsibilitiesEssential Responsibilities & DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Unload delivery trucks of incoming freight/material using material movement equipment such as pallet jacks, fork trucks, cranes, or other means as necessary. May also be required to load trucks/trailers with outgoing loads such as scrap or supplier return goods.Must match all receiving paperwork (i.e. packing slips, shipping manifest, ASN's, BOL's, etc) to the physical receipt by part number and quantity.Perform cursory inspection of goods for any damage to packaging or product. Must document and communicate any such findings.Identify all raw material inventory with a bar code label. Upon moving and storing material to the correct location, must scan material to that location. Scan material to new location any time it is moved.Move material from Raw Material to Production WIP locations when required. Follow all process and procedures for turning in inventory bar code labels for proper transitioning. Follow all FIFO processes.Work in raw material parts crib. Stocking of incoming material and filling production material requests.Perform raw material cycle counts.
