Your day may involve implementing new features, resolving defects, or improving performance across distributed services.You will write production-quality code, scripts, and deployment artifacts while collaborating with system engineers and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet real mission needs. You will also help deploy and operate containerized services, refine CI/CD pipelines, and support ongoing sustainment of existing capabilities as requirements evolve.Integration work is a major part of the role. You will connect internal applications with COTS, GOTS, and open-source tools, ensuring interoperability and reliability across the environment.Minimum QualificationsClearance: Active Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (required)Citizenship: Must be a U.S. CitizenEducation and Experience:Master's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience, ORBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 7 years of relevant experience, OR9 years of relevant Software Engineering experience in programs of similar scope and complexityRequired SkillsStrong experience with Linux command-line environments and development toolsProficiency in Python (3.x) software developmentExperience writing automation scripts using BashExperience with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDBExperience with container technologies such as Docker and containerdExperience deploying and operating services in Kubernetes environmentsExperience building Helm charts for Kubernetes deploymentsFamiliarity with messaging systems such as RabbitMQUnderstanding of CI/CD practices and tools, including GitLab CIExperience with Infrastructure-as-Code concepts and tools such as AnsibleProficiency using Git for source controlDesired SkillsExperience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQLFamiliarity with Atlassian tools including Jira and ConfluenceExperience with Rust or willingness to learn itExperience integrating multiple software components in complex environmentsTechnology StackLinux, Python 3.x, Bash, Rust, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, containerd, Kubernetes, Helm, RabbitMQ, GitLab CI, Ansible, Git, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)Compensation Range: $183,000.00 - $235,000.00The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate's background and suitability for the role.
