The Robot Operator will examine, check, and gauge a wide variety of castings for flaws and defects, refer to quality cards for specifications and requirements.
What You'll Do:
Responsible for the overall performance of the machine/cell.
Ensure proper process verification and data are prepared according to the production schedule.
Coordinate setup and changeover procedures of various machines.
Perform visual inspections for defective castings using statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
Notify the responsible area in the event of any unplanned or over-standard part defect.
Utilize delay time constructively by doing housekeeping or other area improvement activities.
Participate in area continuous improvement efforts including Employee Involvement activities.
Personal attendance record should remain in compliance with company guidelines.
What We Need From You:
Requires knowledge of commercial casting requirements and machine shop practice
Ability to operate a forklift truck, ability to move castings up to a weight of 50 pounds.
Stand on your feet for eight to ten hours a day.
Ability to work as a Team as well as function alone.
