Travel Agent - Full Time

Travel Agent Description: AAA Schuylkill County is seeking a full time Travel Agent for our travel agency. Must be a career-oriented professional with travel experience. In addition, have the ability to build relationships, highly organized with creative problem-solving abilities and strong ethics. You will work in a fast-paced dynamic environment that requires focused attention to our members’ needs. Duties and responsibilities will include: · Take requests for client’s travel needs and desires including air, hotel, car reservations, cruises, escorted tours and packages. · Utilize strong communication skills to accurately assess clients travel wishes and trip qualifications. · Thoroughly research schedules, availability and pricing and tailor to client’s specifications · Provide top-notch customer service to AAA members and non-members alike, educating clients on exclusive AAA Member travel benefits and discounts thus promoting membership. · Respond to client’s questions, issues and refund requests in a timely manner. · Promote AAA preferred travel suppliers and recommend travel insurance on all bookings. · Cross sell AAA offerings including membership, insurance and the AAA Visa Signature credit card · Exhibit excellent customer service to existing and new clients in order to retain and grow customer base. · Prepare invoices and take payments for completed bookings, making sure payments are forwarded to the travel suppliers. Organize and deliver documents needed for client’s travel. · Exhibit professionalism and insure confidentiality of customer’s travel business. · Participate in ongoing training and travel webinars to stay educated and informed. · Follow up with clients upon their return to secure an ongoing relationship · Take advantage and participate in offered familiarization trips to expand travel knowledge. · Educate clients on travel policies and required travel documentation · Reach out to family, friends and organizations to promote all Travel Agency business.
