Key Account Sales Representative
A growing global manufacturer of engineered cast steel components is seeking a Key Account Manager to support and expand strategic OEM accounts within the valves, pumps, and flow control markets.This role is focused on managing complex customer relationships across industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, and industrial processing, with a strong emphasis on flow control applications and pressure-containing components.The ideal candidate brings deep experience in the steel foundry environment and a strong understanding of the steelmaking and casting process, combined with a proven ability to manage high-value technical accounts.Position Overview:The Key Account Manager will serve as the primary commercial interface for key customers in the valves, pumps, and flow control OEM space, managing long-term relationships while driving new business opportunities and program growth.This role supports customers primarily across the U.S., with global manufacturing capabilities supporting production. Houston-area candidates are strongly preferred due to proximity to key customers and industry concentration.This position offers strong long-term growth potential, including the opportunity to progress into broader commercial leadership roles.Key Responsibilities:Manage and grow strategic OEM accounts within the valves, pumps, and flow control sector Lead commercial activities including RFQs, pricing strategy, contract negotiations, margin optimization, and long-term agreements Identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts, including new product launches and program expansions Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams including manufacturing, metallurgical engineering, quality, supply chain, and finance Support technical discussions related to casting design, pressure-containing components, alloy selection, metallurgy, heat treatment, and machining Work closely with customer engineering and procurement teams on specifications, materials, and application requirements Oversee program execution, including timelines, forecasting, and performance metrics Drive revenue growth, account penetration, and profitability across assigned customers Travel extensively to maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders across engineering, operations, and executive levels Qualifications:Proven experience in steel foundry, castings, or steel manufacturing Strong understanding of the steelmaking process, including melting, molding, pouring, heat treatment, machining, and inspection Background in key account management, technical sales, or business development within valves, pumps, flow control, oil & gas, or related industrial markets Experience supporting pressure-containing components, industrial valves, pump systems, or fluid handling equipment Ability to manage multiple customer programs in a complex manufacturing environment Strong commercial acumen, including cost analysis, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation Experience working cross-functionally in a global manufacturing organization Willingness to travel extensively across North America Preferred Background:Engineering degree or technical background in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, or materials science Experience supporting engineered cast steel components, including alloy and carbon steels Familiarity with industry standards and specifications related to valves, pumps, and flow control applications Experience working with OEMs in oil & gas, petrochemical, or energy markets This is a high-impact opportunity for a commercially driven professional who understands both the technical and commercial dynamics of castings within the flow control industry and is looking to play a key role in growing strategic accounts within a global manufacturing platform.Compensation: Base Salary: $120,000–$130,000 + 20% Bonus
