Electrical QA/QC EngineerLocation: McKinney, Texas, USAEmployment Type: Full-time / PermanentSalary: $105,000-$115,000Role OverviewAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical QA/QC Engineer to join a leading organisation delivering complex industrial and mission-critical infrastructure projects across the United States.The successful candidate will support QA/QC activities across electrical equipment manufacturing, factory testing, installation, and commissioning environments, ensuring systems and documentation meet project specifications and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesQA/QC & Testing• Review technical documentation, shop drawings, testing procedures, and manufacturer submittals• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and QA/QC requirements• Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities for electrical equipment• Assist with inspection and testing of switchgear, UPS systems, generators, ATS equipment, and protection systems• Identify non-conformances and support corrective action processesSite & Commissioning Support• Conduct site inspections at manufacturing facilities and project locations• Support installation verification, commissioning, and turnover activities• Ensure installed systems align with approved drawings and specifications• Work closely with engineering, field, and commissioning teams throughout project deliveryReporting & Documentation• Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection records, punch lists, and NCRs• Maintain organised project documentation and closeout records• Track quality issues through to resolutionKey RequirementsExperience• Experience within electrical QA/QC, commissioning, manufacturing, construction, or power systems environments• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution systems• Experience with switchgear, UPS systems, generators, or critical electrical infrastructure preferred• Exposure to FAT testing, commissioning, or field inspections advantageous• Data centre or mission-critical project experience beneficialTechnical Skills• Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation• Familiarity with electrical testing and commissioning procedures• Understanding of industry standards such as NEC, UL, IEEE, and NEMA preferred• Hands-on testing experience advantageousSoft Skills• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset• Good communication and reporting skills• Ability to work independently and across multiple project teams• Willingness to travel to project sites and manufacturing facilities as required
