Material Handler (2nd Shift Outdoor)

Job Description Location: Morrison, ILPay: $19.50/hourFIRST SHIFT/Schedule: 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM (Monday–Friday)Overtime: 20+ hours/week during busy seasonPosition OverviewWe are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the flow of organic materials through the shakers, coordinating with heavy equipment operators, and performing housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. The Material Handler will assist in various tasks as directed by the foreman.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain material flow through shakers by breaking up bridgingScrape finishing screens to ensure product flowPerform housekeeping duties to prevent material buildup under conveyors, aisles, and catwalks while following safety practicesMeet established quality and quantity standardsReport equipment issues to maintenance personnelAssist with small bag line operations as neededSupport pallet restacking and general clean-up tasksSkills and CompetenciesAbility to follow safety practices to protect self and othersComfortable working in dusty environments and varying weather conditions (hot, cold, rainy)Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to climb ladders and remain on feet for extended periodsEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED requiredEntry-level experience acceptablePreferred: Electrical troubleshooting, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repair experience
