Senior Rig Mechanic

Job SummaryThe Senior Rig Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining rig mechanical systems to ensure safe, reliable operations.ResponsibilitiesPerform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of rig mechanical equipment and systems.Maintain and repair rotating and reciprocating equipment (e.g., mud pumps, air compressors, generators/engines where applicable).Service rig hoisting and handling systems (e.g., drawworks components, top drive support equipment, winches, catheads, cranes/rigging hardware—scope varies by rig).Inspect and maintain fluid transfer and pressure systems (e.g., valves, manifolds, piping, hoses, fittings) and identify failures before they occur.Execute preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, lubrication routes, and condition monitoring; ensure work is documented accurately.Interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, parts books, and OEM specifications to complete repairs correctly.Supervise and mentor junior mechanics; provide on-the-job training and ensure quality workmanship.Support commissioning/start-up after major maintenance or equipment replacement.Maintain housekeeping standards in workshops, tool rooms, and work areas; keep tools calibrated/inspected as required.RequirementsUp-to-date resumeOffshore medicalBOSIET / FOET / THUETRigPass or SafeGulfTWICUS Passport or government-issued ID
