As a Quality Manager you will be accountable for internal and external quality complaint resolution, execution of audits, and ensuring efficient and smooth operations within the production facility.How You Will Impact Smurfit WestrockReview, approve, and execute facility and corporate standard operating procedures for site implementationCoordinate and execute internal, customer, supplier, subcontractor, and regulatory auditsMonitor and ensure compliance with current policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and customer requirementsCoordinate and execute investigation of detected risks or failures, complaints, and corrective/preventative actionsWork closely with production managers to maximize product quality and reliability and minimize costTrack, analyze, and lead initiatives for all internal quality and customer complaint issuesDetermine, document, and approve site-specific or one-time occurrences such as protocols (reworks, validations, etc.), deviations (planned or unplanned), waivers, or releases for materials and products as requiredLeverage enterprise technology to analyze quality complaints, track corrective and preventive actions, and use data to isolate and track defective parts per million, over shipments, and resolve issues related to rejected products when applicableExecute facility improvement initiatives as determined from performance dataLead team of quality technicians and British Retail Consortium (BRC) readiness resources, ensuring that processes are efficient, and work is appropriately prioritizedProvide tools and training for quality management and quality improvement to the facility staffWhat You Need To SucceedHigh School diploma or G.E.D.Must have 5 to 10 years of work-related manufacturing experienceShould have 3 to 5 years’ experience in production supervisory roleDemonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage and inspire others to comply with quality standardsProven track record of problem-solvingThorough knowledge of quality standards and methodologiesAbility to learn proprietary software programs and leverage enterprise complaint management softwareProfessional training and quality certifications courses (e.g. Six Sigma, ISO Certification) are preferredCandidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
