The Role:
The HR Generalist will preferably have a background in the trades and be an expert on managing HR operations, employee relations and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a passion and energy for HR and a willingness to learn in an evolving organization. The HR Generalist will report to the General Manager.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and onboarding new hires.
Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related issues, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Administer benefits programs such as: health, dental, life/disability, 401(k), PTO, leave and other company benefits offered. Negotiate plan renewals annually; manage staff enrollment through HR and payroll system.
Assist in the development and implementation of performance management processes and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
Coordinate training programs and professional development opportunities for employees to support their growth and success.
Maintain HR records, prepare reports, and manage HR-related documentation.
Administer employee surveys, organize company celebrations/meetings, develop and manage recognition programs intended to build a positive work culture
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Familiarity with HR software and best practices. Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is essential.

Education and Experience:
3-5+ years? experience as a HR Generalist or similar role
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
4+ years? experience with computers, particularly Microsoft Office Suite
College degree preferred but not required
