Position Overview
The Assistant Showroom Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our showroom while delivering an exceptional customer experience. This position supports the Showroom Manager in overseeing sales performance, maintaining showroom presentation standards, coordinating staff schedules, and ensuring customers receive professional and knowledgeable service from first contact through project completion.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales Support
Greet and assist customers in the showroom, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
Provide knowledgeable guidance on products, materials, and design solutions.
Assist in managing the sales process, from initial inquiry through order completion, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Support the sales team in meeting or exceeding monthly and annual sales targets.
Showroom Operations
Maintain showroom cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards.
Assist with inventory tracking, sample organization, and vendor display updates.
Monitor and restock marketing materials, samples, and promotional displays.
Team Leadership & Training
Support the Showroom Manager in training, coaching, and motivating showroom staff.
Assist in coordinating staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
Help foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
Administrative & Coordination Tasks
Process sales orders and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
Assist with resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Coordinate with internal departments, including Operations, Installation, and Customer Service, to ensure smooth project flow.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in retail management, sales supervision, or a related field (home improvement, interior design, or construction industry experience preferred).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems (TrackVia experience a plus).
Ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
