Job DescriptionThe Vice President of Business Development is a senior enterprise leader responsible for identifying, evaluating, and accelerating growth opportunities across all Simon Group Holdings entities. This role connects strategy, data, people, and capital across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, ensuring initiatives are coordinated, scalable, and optimized across the broader SGH portfolio. The VP will operate at the intersection of investment, operating strategy, and execution, aggressively pursuing new opportunities, optimizing existing assets, and leveraging relationships, data, and capabilities across SGH businesses to unlock enterprise-wide value. This individual is a sophisticated business builder who is hands-on, deeply analytical, and relentless in pursuing high-quality growth. The role requires someone who knows how to dig in, challenge assumptions, and mobilize talent across diverse operating companies.Responsibilities And DutiesLead enterprise‑wide business development initiatives that span multiple SGH companies, geographies, and verticals by connecting and aligning global initiatives across all SGH entitiesEvaluate new opportunities and inbound deals, assessing strategic fit, investment viability, risk, scalability, and value creation potential before advancing recommendations to ownership and senior leadershipActively source, develop, and shape new growth opportunities and identify adjacencies, white‑space opportunities, and underleveraged assets across the portfoliorather than passively reacting to inbound ideasBuild enterprise data and insight that identifies where SGH businesses can collaborate, cross‑sell, co‑invest, or share infrastructure, customers, supply chains, or intellectual capitalPartner with operating leaders to turn strategic concepts into executable, revenue‑generating initiativesAssess new deals, partnerships, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments brought forward to SGH through evaluating commercial upside, operational feasibility, capital requirements, and returnsBuild business cases, financial logic, and strategic rationale to support investment decisionsWork closely with ownership, legal, finance, and operating leadership through diligence and decision stages.Build frameworks, dashboards, and intelligence that reveal how SGH entities can better connect and leverage one anotherIdentify shared customers, vendors, markets, real estate, infrastructure, and operational capabilitiesEnsure insights are actionable, not theoretical, and drive real collaboration and economic benefitProactively identify opportunities to optimize existing SGH assets, commercially, operationally, and strategically.Improve asset utilization, market reach, and return on invested capitalOperate as a trusted partner to SGH ownership, CEOs, and senior leadership across portfolio companiesLeverage people across SGH institutions to form high‑impact, cross‑functional teamsRequired Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field required15+ years of progressive leadership experience in business development, corporate strategy, commercial leadership, investments, or portfolio operationsDemonstrated success operating in a multi-entity, diversified organization (family office, private equity portfolio, holding company, or complex enterprise environment strongly preferred)Proven experience evaluating new opportunities, including:M&A, joint ventures, partnerships, and strategic investmentsCommercial viability, financial returns, and operational feasibilityExperience working across North American markets (U.S., Canada, Mexico) with an understanding of cross‑border operations, regulatory considerations, and market dynamicsPreferred Education And ExperienceMaster’s degree preferred (MBA or equivalent), particularly with emphasis in strategy, finance, operations, or entrepreneurshipOngoing executive education in corporate strategy, investment evaluation, or portfolio management is a plusTravel25-30%
