As the business continues to grow, they are looking to hire a talented Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) Software Engineer to join their expanding engineering team.This is a key hire that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one. Alongside developing advanced GNC and autonomous systems software, this individual will play an important role in helping shape the future engineering organisation, supporting team growth and contributing to the company's next phase of expansion.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence technical direction, help establish engineering best practices and contribute to building a high-performing team focused on solving some of the most challenging problems in aerospace technology.The RoleAs a key member of the software engineering team, you'll design and develop high-performance algorithms that sit at the heart of advanced autonomous systems. Working closely with AI, software and systems engineers, you'll help deliver reliable, scalable solutions for real-world applications.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) software.Develop estimation, tracking and navigation algorithms for autonomous systems.Build predictive models using probabilistic and machine learning techniques.Improve software performance for real-time applications.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.Contribute to the architecture and continuous improvement of next-generation autonomous software.What We're Looking ForCommercial experience developing software within aerospace, robotics, autonomous systems, defence or another highly technical environment.State estimation, tracking and prediction algorithmsStrong programming skills in C++ and Python.Experience developing algorithms for Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) systems, localisation, estimation or navigation.Knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.Experience working with Linux, Git and modern software development practices.Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics or another relevant engineering discipline.Desirable ExperienceSensor fusion or perception systems.Real-time or safety-critical software development.GPU programming (CUDA) or software optimisation.Docker, Kubernetes or cloud-native development.Previous experience working within both high-growth start-up environments and large enterprise organisations would be advantageous, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced engineering teams.What's On OfferCompetitive salary and benefits package.Equity opportunities.Flexible holiday allowance.Comprehensive healthcare.The opportunity to work on genuinely cutting-edge autonomous technologies alongside a highly experienced engineering team.Significant technical ownership with excellent opportunities for career progression.
