About The RoleAs a Valuation Manager of Fine Jewelry and Watches at TheRealReal, you will own day-to-day appraisals, servicing clients that visit our retail store via appointment or walk-ins. You will be pricing and authenticating fine jewelry and watch pieces across our dynamic acceptance standards.As a subject-matter expert, you will educate and build trust with our consignors, customers, and your peers, translating market knowledge to a white-glove client experience. You will also support occasional supply events through on-site valuations and participating in remote pricing initiatives to assist cross-functional teams across our organization.We’re seeking a process-driven individual who has extraordinary attention to detail and wants to hone their expertise in fine jewelry and watches.This is an on-site position based in our Glendale, California retail store - coming soon!What You Get To Do Every DayFacilitate all valuation appointments, working directly with clients to provide a relaxed, consultative experience that educates them on the value of their items within our marketplaceConduct real-time valuations and authentication of fine jewelry and watches using a wide array of industry specific toolsProvide pre-consignment pricing services to consignors and internal sales partnersMaintain strong understanding of pricing trends and the sell-through velocity of fashion items by working with the Pricing and Authentication teamsOwn the sell-through performance and velocity of items you personally priceOwn appointment-to-consignment conversion metrics, driving both client satisfaction and business resultsPartner with the Store Manager to understand customer needs and stay current with in-store operations and prioritiesSupport additional store and team needs as required to ensure a seamless retail experienceWhat You Bring To The RoleMinimum Requirements:Strong knowledge of fine jewelry in the primary and secondary market2-5 years experience working in the luxury space in a customer facing roleFlexibility to work certain weekend daysSales experience strongly encouragedProactive, self-directed approach with the ability to anticipate business needs and meet internal and external deadlinesStrong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify potential obstacles in advance and ensure smooth execution of valuation office processesExceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive situations while remaining calm and composedPassion for delivering a high-touch, luxury client experience every dayPolished, professional presence with strong presentation skillsClear and effective communicator, both verbally and in writingPreferred QualificationsGIA credentials such as Graduate Gemologist (GG), Accredited Jewelry Professional (AJP), or equivalent coursework/experience strongly preferredCompensation, Benefits, + PerksEmployee Stock Purchase Plan401K with Company MatchMedical, Dental & Vision InsurancePaid Parental Leave9 Paid Company HolidaysFlexible Time Off (With Manager Approval)Find out more about our Benefits here.The expected salary range for this role is $65,581.10-$93,687.00. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package.
