Position: SQL Server DBA with GCP experienceDuration: 6-12 Months to start likely at least 2 years of workLocation: 100% RemoteUSC/GC/H4EAD/L2EAD/TN Permit/ Refugee/Asylee who are willing to work on W2 can apply for this jobGoogle Cloud Platform (GCP) Certification is highly requiredJob Description8+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA, with a focus on database performance, optimization, and administration.Proven experience with SQL Server 2016/2017/2019.Experience managing SQL Server databases in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.Experience with GCP tools and services related to database management, including Cloud SQL, BigQuery, GCS, etc.Strong experience with SQL Server high availability features such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, replication, clustering, and log shipping.Experience in performance tuning and query optimization, with a deep understanding of execution plans, indexing, and statistics.Knowledge of T-SQL, stored procedures, and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automating database tasks.Familiarity with database security protocols, including encryption, authentication, and role-based access control.Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery planning.Experience with database monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, GCP Monitoring).Ability to work with development and operations teams to troubleshoot database-related issues and optimize queries.
