Machinist
Job Summary: Repair mechanical and electrical machinery, using manual lathe, hand-tools, electronic test equipment, service manuals, pneumatic tooling, trak knee mill, and trak RLX CNC lathe.
Responsibilities:
Welding
Shaft work – custom design and new build
Fabrication
Dynamic balancing
Bore & sleeve
Communicate with customers regarding service work in a professional manner when necessary; communicate with shop team members to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition; Assist in keeping common areas of the motor shop clean and orderly
Understand and complete proper documentation, test procedures and timekeeping; Turn timecards in to shop administrator daily
Performs other related duties as required
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude, maintenance, machinery repair background
Ability to run a lathe machine
Ability to lift 50 pounds often
Ability to properly use/train measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Good communication skills and work ethic
Good attendance history
Experience with using hydraulic press
