Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Low Voltage / Security Systems Technician to join our team. The technician will be responsible for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing security camera systems, structured data cabling, and electronic access control systems.The ideal candidate has hands-on field experience with low-voltage installations and can work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.ResponsibilitiesInstall IP security camera and video surveillance systemsInstall, route, terminate, label, and test Cat5e/Cat6 structured cablingInstall and wire electronic door access control systemsInstall card readers, electric strikes, magnetic locks, door contacts, request-to-exit devices, and related equipmentInstall and connect NVRs, PoE switches, network equipment, and other security system componentsTroubleshoot cameras, cabling, network connectivity, and access control systemsRead and follow basic wiring diagrams, floor plans, and installation drawingsUse hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other installation equipmentMaintain clean, organized, and professional installationsCommunicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and other tradesFollow job-site safety requirements and company installation standardsComplete service calls, repairs, upgrades, and new installations as assignedQualificationsPrevious experience in low-voltage, security systems, structured cabling, access control, or a related fieldHands-on experience installing security cameras and/or access control systemsExperience terminating and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cablingBasic understanding of IP networking and PoEAbility to troubleshoot low-voltage systems and wiringAbility to read basic plans and diagramsComfortable working from ladders and liftsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamValid driver's licenseReliable transportation
