NDT Inspector II
Job Description: We are seeking a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to support inspection efforts for critical aerospace hardware in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting tube sub-assemblies supporting advanced propulsion systems. What You’ll Get to Do: Perform surface and volumetric NDT inspections on aerospace componentsSupport research and development activities related to system qualification and certification for critical processesAssist in the development and refinement of NDT inspection techniques for complex geometriesDocument inspection results and ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety standardsCollaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to support manufacturing initiatives REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 3+ years of experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry Experience performing NDT testing within the aerospace industry Basic understanding of Lean principles: 5S, Kaizen, continuous improvement initiative Experience inspecting advanced materials such as high strength aluminum alloys, precipitation hardened steels, Inconel, Monel, titanium, and Maraging steel (super alloys) Knowledge of NDT Standards such as; AS, AMS, AWS, NAS, ASME, ASTM Experience in conducting NDT tasks and interpreting inspection results High school diploma or GED Willing to work Monday - Friday onsite in Long Beach (A-shift 6:00am-2:30pm) NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Certified in American Welding Society (AWS) or Certified in Welding Inspector (CWI) Experience in improving capability of NDT processes to eliminate escape of non-conforming products, efficiency improvements, productivity, and flow
