Full Charge Bookkeeper

DescriptionClearwater, FL | Flexible ScheduleWe are seeking an experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to support a small, family‐oriented insurance services office in Clearwater, Florida. This contract role offers schedule flexibility and the opportunity to work independently in a relaxed, supportive environment. The ideal candidate is QuickBooks Certified and confident handling full-cycle, day‐to‐day bookkeeping with little oversight.This role is heavily focused on accurate transactional entry and revenue booking, including sales invoices, cash deposits, bill payments, and bank reconciliations.WKey Responsibilities+ Perform daily bookkeeping and data entry using QuickBooks (Desktop or Online)+ Accurately record sales receipts and sales invoices, allocating revenue to appropriate line items (e.g., new business, renewals, excess revenue)+ Enter and apply cash deposits and ensure deposits are properly recorded in QuickBooks+ Pay vendor bills and process commissions through cost of goods sold+ Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and transfers between bank accounts+ Maintain clean and accurate general ledger entries, including adjustments and corrections as needed+ Track and reconcile commissions payable and ensure proper expense classification+ Review credit card activity and match transactions to supporting documentation+ Maintain revenue and deposit tracking schedules in Excel, ensuring alignment with QuickBooks+ Perform basic troubleshooting when discrepancies arise and ensure records are audit-ready+ Support 1099 tracking and reconciliation processesRequirementsIdeal Candidate Profile+ QuickBooks Certified (required) with proven, hands‐on experience+ Ideal candidate will be QB Certified+ Strong understanding of day‐to‐day bookkeeping and data entry best practices+ Demonstrated experience booking:+ Sales invoices and revenue+ Cash and check deposits+ Accounts payable and bill payments+ Bank transfers and reconciliations+ Comfortable working with detailed revenue line items and commission structures+ Proficient in Excel for tracking and reconciliation+ Highly detail‐oriented with a focus on accuracy and consistency+ Able to work independently and manage a steady workflow in a small office setting+ Organized, dependable, and confident in full‐cycle bookkeeping responsibilitiesRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
