Overview
The Assistant Project Manager supports all aspects of work related to medium and high voltage substation projects by assisting Project Managers with daily reporting and interaction with the customer. This position is responsible for the successful completion of projects within specified dates and establishing and maintaining a professional and satisfactory relationship with the owner, subcontractors, and any other relevant stakeholders in the project.
Qualifications & Necessary Attributes:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred
Experience with high voltage substation projects

Ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government and public contracts on project related matters
Strong leadership, communication skills, and negotiating abilities
Knowledgeable with specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services
Familiarity with financial and project management principles
Ability to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals and other documents as they relate to electrical work
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel and work away from home as required
Essential Functions: (including but not limited to)
Utilize company tools and processes for adequate communication with all parties
Prepare proposals, assist and participate in contract negotiations
Provide overall management of projects from concept to completing including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, project controls, procurement, constructability reviews, materials management and closeout
Create project schedules, manage scope of work, and control project costs
Assist with internal project financials, staffing, & HR issues
Serve as primary point of contact for all project related issues
Work closely with the Superintendent and other members of the project team to ensure project is executed to the client's satisfaction
Review & monitor actual job costs versus budgets
Report to management team status and updates on projects

Pay: $48,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
