Sales Service Representative I

Position Description Overall Responsibilities: The Sales Services Representative is responsible for supporting sales operations and scheduling. This position will be essential to the sales activities and communications between facility operations and customers. Essential Job Functions: Product knowledge and understanding (VT product offering, construction, labeling, and hardware restrictions) Communicate shipment changes and backorders to customers Contacts customers and job site contact for job site delivery conditions and information Secure pricing for special freight options and confirm shipment deliveries Collaborate with Detailers, ISRs, and Technical Services when needed Always observes all safety policies and procedures Participates in customer service team meetings Works individually or with team members as assigned, maintaining a positive work environment Supports 5S/lean program keeping work area organized Other duties as assigned by the supervisor Position Requirements Qualifications: Computer/software skills Works well with both internal and external customers Able to work without supervision Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills Able to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations Eager and willing to gain knowledge of door products and processes Organized and consistently works toward continuous improvement All team members are expected to follow the Code of Conduct to the highest standards as well as to adhere to the Attendance Policy of VT Industries. Physical Requirements Tolerance for sitting for long periods of time. Possess finger dexterity to write, type, and use a calculator. Maintain adequate vision to view small print and computer terminal. Ability to speak and hear, walk throughout facilities with occasional heavy lifting (50 pounds), stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching with hands and arms required. Ability to travel between multiple customer facilities as required to perform core job duties.
