Warehouse Associate/Driver

TITLE: Driver / Warehouse AssociateSalary Level: HourlyFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptDepartment: StoreRev Date: 5.29.2025Reports to: Branch ManagerPosition Summary:Operates commercial vehicle to transport and deliver heating and air conditioning products parts, and other materials to customers or Insco locations. Will also be responsible for performing warehouse and counter sales duties at the branch.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Responsibly transports and loads/unloads items to a customer’s job site, place of business, or other assigned destinationBuild strong relationships with the customers to ensure that we continue to deliver outstanding customer experienceInspect truck pre and post trip to ensure everything, including emergency, mechanical and safety gear, is in working orderPerforms required minor maintenance and keeps the vehicle cleanObtain and maintain necessary documentation such as proof of delivery/pick up, driver logs, truck condition forms, maintenance logs, etc.Collects/picks up empty containers or rejected/unsold merchandiseAssist with branch operations such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing and retrieving stock, cycle counts/inventory, etc.Supports the branch with counter sales supportWill be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.Basic computer knowledgeExperience with data entry and inventory management systems preferred.Forklift certification and ability to maintain certification.Physical ability to lift and handle products safely.Education & Experience:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)One year HVAC industry experienceGeneral knowledge of HVAC products preferredAt least one year’s experience or driver’s certificate from driving training schoolSupervisory Responsibilities:NonePhysical Demands:Required to lift up to 75 lbs.Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, reach, twist, stretch, kneel, squat, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and move about the facility for the entirety of the shift.Regularly talk, hear, read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material, payment processingWork Environment:Location of position: McAllen, TexasBackground checks and drug tests requiredPossess and maintain a valid driver’s licenseWork will generally be performed in a retail work & warehouse environment.May be exposed to Warehouse/Shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.May be required to work hours other than the regular scheduleThese statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work to be performed and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities and duties.
