From publishing artists’ writings and exceptional exhibition-related books to commissioning new scholarship and pursuing the highest levels of craft in design and bookmaking, Hauser & Wirth Publishers creates vital, lasting records of artists’ work and ideas, forging critical gateways to the cultural discourse they inspire.The Facilities Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the ongoing functionality of building systems, safety, and aesthetic upkeep of the multiple Hauser & Wirth’s Los Angeles locations, including gallery buildings, office spaces, restaurant support, courtyard and non-art physical properties. This in-person role supports daily operations and maintenance across the properties. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your duties include routine and preventative maintenance, groundskeeping, event support, parking oversight, and monitoring the security team. This physically active role requires the ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout your shift. The ideal candidate is reliable, experienced in facilities work, and has strong time management skills.Responsibilities: Facilities Oversight & Maintenance Support and assist with coordinating all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, façade, glass, doors & locks, carpentry, roofing and structural repairs across assigned sites.Collaborate closely with the Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance upkeep and operational readiness of both LA and West Hollywood locations.Assist in planning and executing facility improvement projects, including renovations, office reconfigurations, and storage enhancements.Conduct regular checks of office areas, workstations, and furniture to identify needs for repairs, moves, or upgrades.Monitor and respond to Facilities requests from staff.Help maintain the pristine condition of exhibition spaces, with a focus on artwork safety, in coordination with the Operations and Install teams.Support vendor management and provide supervision of repair work.Prepare and process work orders using a web-based systems such as Limble.Support the Facilities Manager in ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety policies, protocols, and relevant legislation.Monitor staff parking areas and enforce company parking guidelines.Monitor vehicle fleet and maintenance needs.Oversee and liaise with onsite security personnel to ensure adherence to site security protocols and standards.Provide support for after-hours building needs, events, or maintenance as needed.Travel between sites (Los Angeles and West Hollywood) regularly using a personal or company vehicle.Support Director of Property as assigned.Operational & Capital Projects & ComplianceSupport compliance with city, state, and federal building codes, including local laws and regulations, from agencies such as Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) and the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety (LADBS).Partner with senior leadership on long-term facilities strategies and planned upgrades.Emergency Response & Safety Serve as a key responder for building emergency issues including, but not limited to electrical, plumbing, HVAC or structural failures.Ensure all buildings meet required safety and code standards and maintain up-to-date emergency systems such as alarms, fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler systems and detectors.Train staff or collaborate with team leads to reinforce emergency protocols and procedures.Qualifications 1 – 3 years of experience in facilities, operations, or maintenance support (gallery, commercial, or hospitality setting preferred).Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is a plus.Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel is a plus.Familiarity with safety and compliance regulations is a plus.Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety and presentation of high-visibility private and public spaces.Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, or basic repairs.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team across departments.Strong communication and time-management skills.Valid driver’s license required and ability to travel regularly between sites.Must be available to work weekend, early mornings, nights and respond to after-hours issues when needed.Rotating weekend and holiday coverage is a required.
