Accident ReconstructionistLocation: Phoenix, ArizonaJob Type: Full-TimeWork Setting: Hybrid / Remote EligibleTravel & Field Work: Up to 50%Salary Range$100,000-$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience, credentials, and certifications.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Accident Reconstructionist to join our Phoenix-based team. This role is responsible for investigating motor vehicle crashes, performing vehicle inspections, conducting advanced crash analysis and reconstruction, and providing expert testimony in jury trials. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with the ability to clearly communicate technical findings to attorneys, judges, and juries.Key ResponsibilitiesInvestigate motor vehicle crashes, including on-site scene examinations as requiredConduct comprehensive vehicle inspections to document damage, restraint systems, and vehicle componentsPerform crash analysis and reconstruction using accepted engineering principles, methodologies, and software toolsAnalyze physical evidence including vehicle damage, roadway evidence, EDR data, photographs, measurements, and witness statementsPrepare clear, defensible technical reports, exhibits, and visual aids for litigationCollaborate with attorneys, engineers, and internal team members throughout case developmentProvide expert testimony through depositions, hearings, and jury trialsUtilize drone technology for aerial scene documentation and analysis when applicableMaintain accurate case documentation and uphold professional, ethical, and legal standardsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field or equivalent experience in Law Enforcement with crash reconstruction trainingExperience in motor vehicle accident investigation and reconstructionStrong understanding of crash dynamics, vehicle systems, and reconstruction methodologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including courtroom testimonyWillingness and ability to travel for inspections, site visits, and court proceedings (up to 60%)Valid driver's license with acceptable driving recordPreferred QualificationsACTAR Accreditation (preferred; or actively pursuing)FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot LicensePrior experience providing expert testimony in jury trials and depositionsProficiency with industry-standard accident reconstruction software and toolsBackground in forensic engineering, biomechanics, or vehicle data analysis (EDR)Work EnvironmentHybrid role with remote work flexibilityCombination of home office-based analytical work, field investigations, project site visits, and courtroom testimonyField work and travel may include daytime, evening, or occasional weekend commitments based on case needsCollaborative, team-oriented culture with a focus on quality, integrity, and professional growthCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary: $100,000-$150,000, based on experience and credentialsMatching 401(k)Company Profit Sharing PlanHealth, Dental, and Vision InsurancePaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysProfessional Development Assistance & Tuition Reimbursement up to $5,200 per yearSupport for certifications, licensure, and continued technical development
