At The Pillars, we are committed to supporting your career, family, and future.Responsibilities:Lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.Relate to children with courtesy, respect, acceptance, and patience.Enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining classroom safety and order.Conduct activities for a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work time that provides students with opportunities to observe, question, and investigate.Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.Assimilate arriving children into the school environment by greeting them, helping them remove outerwear, and selecting activities of interest to them.Attend to children's basic needs as age-appropriate, such as feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.Teach proper eating habits and personal hygiene.This job operates in a childcare environment. The position will interact with children in early learning classrooms daily.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Expected Schedule:This is a full-time position.
