In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing inbound and outbound shipments to ensure cost efficiency, on-time delivery, and compliance with customer requirements.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and enjoys solving complex operational challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesLoad Planning & ExecutionPlan, build, and assign daily inbound and outbound shipments using TMSOptimize routing, carrier selection, and equipment utilizationReview and consolidate orders to determine the most efficient shipping methodsEnsure alignment with Required Delivery Dates (RDD/MABD) and customer guidelinesCoordination & CommunicationCollaborate with carriers, warehouse operations, and customer service teamsMonitor shipments in transit and proactively resolve delays or issuesServe as the primary point of contact for load planning and scheduling inquiriesSystems & DocumentationMaintain accurate shipment data in TMS and related systems (e.g., SAP, visibility tools)Validate BOLs, appointment confirmations, and Proof of Delivery (POD)Ensure compliance with SOPs, routing guides, and carrier agreementsPerformance & Continuous ImprovementTrack KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost per load, and carrier performanceIdentify process improvements and operational efficienciesSupport carrier reviews and logistics optimization initiativesQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)2+ years of experience in load planning, dispatching, or transportation coordinationStrong knowledge of freight operations, routing, and carrier schedulingProficiency in Microsoft Excel and TMS platformsExcellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsPreferredExperience with SAP or similar enterprise logistics systemsFamiliarity with EDI, carrier portals, and tracking/visibility tools (e.g., FourKites, Project44)Understanding of regional carrier networks and warehouse operationsCore CompetenciesStrong analytical and decision-making skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyEffective communication and teamworkAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentOwnership mindset with proactive problem-solving
