With a year-round Garden Terrace, flagship Aman Spa and spacious suites all among the largest in the city.RoleThe Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for the daily administrative functions of the Human Resource department including on-boarding team members, wellness events, benefits administration, workers compensation, leave requests, and provide support to the Human Resources team as needed.This position has a compensation rate of $40 per hour.ResponsibilitiesHandle benefits administration including holding information sessions and enrollmentsProcess leave requests and workers compensation in accordance to local, city and federal lawDevelop and implement employee relations programs, events, community service, etcPromote and develop advertising for employee relations events such as upcoming events, health tips, community service activities and employee recognition programDevelop materials for and maintain employee communication and recognition boardsMaintain employee files and computer filesHandle employee requests and issues such as policy and procedure questions, benefits inquiries, etcAssist with new employee orientation and on-boardingPurchasing and managing of all HR operating supplies, employee relations items, as neededPerform other duties as assigned by Director of Human ResourcesRequirementsA minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources in an upscale/luxury hotel environmentBachelor's degree in human resources, business, or related field preferredComputer skills required and good applicable knowledge of HRIS such as ADP or Work Day preferredComputer literacy to include but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etcAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentialityAbility to effectively deal with employees and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger and to resolve conflictsAbility to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing, in the English languageAbility to move around the hotel and liaise with all departments to maintain good team relations and understanding of departmental needsMust be able to adhere to and promote Hotel service standards, Human Resources standards and policies, and applicable Hotel and Corporate standards and policiesBenefitsAt Aman New York, we believe that our colleagues are at the core of our success.
