Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionGeneral Position SummaryThis position is responsible for leading and monitoring a group of assigned team members to achieve goals that contribute to the growth of the organization.Directs the day-to-day production activities of the teamConducts training to team members in his/her assigned areaEmpowers team to meet daily production goals/overall efficiencyPerforms production work when manning is low or builds are under efficiencyAbility to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with equipment and elevate to maintenance, if necessaryWillingness to learn to operate all cells/presses/mobile equipment in designated areaInspect parts for defects and elevates to Quality for assistance, if necessaryPromotes Kaizen activities to improve processes and proceduresCreates and implements countermeasures for abnormalities or defectsProvides direction and guidance for all team membersMust be able to be rotated in all team leader positions within the facilityUnderstands the Strengths and Weakness of Team Members and be able to coach and lead progressive disciplineMust be able to speak to, and report out to FMDS boards and current conditions within their designated areasOrganizing tasks and setting goalsUpholding the vision of the company and department and have got working relationships with support groups.Solving problems and resolving conflictsImplement/maintain applicable management systems, processes, monitors, and continually improve its resultsEnsures that the facility is in compliance with federal, state, and local environmental requirements.Must be able to identify and provide a control plan for applicable compliance obligations.Must be able to identify and provide control plan for applicable compliance obligations.Must ensure the safety of work assignments and workspaces, assign safety training related to hazards, provide safety procedures and equipment, correctly identify hazards.Look into causes and follow ups of incidents and take action to prevent similar incidents and discuss safety in regular meetings and performance reviews.Other job duties as assignedProblem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.Technical Skills - Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills.
