Lead Structured Cabling Technician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Structured Cabling Technician to support a one-month Cisco network infrastructure project in Raleigh, NC. The Lead Technician will be responsible for leading the installation of fiber optic and copper cabling, ensuring work is completed to industry standards and customer specifications. All materials will be provided by the customer. Technicians must provide their own tools and testing equipment. Responsibilities Lead structured cabling installation activities for Cisco data center infrastructure. Remove existing Cat 6, OM3 MPO, SM MPO, and fiber cabling. Install, route, dress, and secure SM MPO fiber and Cat 6A cabling. Install fiber and copper patch panels. Terminate SM MPO fiber on MPO adapter panels. Terminate Cat 6A cabling using the TIA/EIA 568B standard. Properly label all patch panels and cabling. Bundle and manage cables using Velcro according to project specifications. Perform fiber testing using a light source and power meter. Certify Cat 6A cabling to industry standards. Complete and submit all required test documentation. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Coordinate daily activities with the project manager and customer representatives. Qualifications Minimum 2–5 years of structured cabling experience. Experience with data center environments. Strong experience with SM MPO fiber installations. Experience terminating and testing Cat 6A cabling. Ability to read rack elevations and installation drawings. Experience with cable certification and fiber testing equipment. Strong troubleshooting and leadership skills. Requirements Must supply all required hand tools and testing equipment. Reliable transportation. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders when required. Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour Benefits: On-the-job training Work Location: In person
