ResponsibilitiesAn Audit Senior Staff assumes responsibility for performing fieldwork on audit or review engagements with minimum supervision. Assists with supervising entry level audit staff accountants assigned to engagements. Helps implement accounting systems for new clients and ensures higher-level personnel are kept informed about the status of engagements. Participates in the firm’s marketing activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Has an understanding of the firm's quality control standardsKeeps abreast of general accounting principlesBegins to develop knowledge of accounting principles related to clients and their industryHas an understanding of the client and its environment and their effect on audit risk assessmentUnderstands audit risks and financial statement assertions and their effect on the audit approachAssumes responsibility for performing audit fieldwork including adherence to due dates and time budgetsPrepares financial statements, notes, schedules, and management lettersDirects and performs research and support for projects with supervisionHas excellent skills in Excel and is proficient in core audit softwareEnsures that their work is error freeSpeaks confidently to clients about the firmDevelops communication skills by providing technical assistance to staff while maintaining a team environmentKeeps management informed of engagement statusQualified candidates will be working toward their CPA with a BS in Accounting and have at least three years of progressive CPA firm experience.
