This role is focused on driving comprehensive EHS programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and aligning with internal safety standards. Strong support from corporate and regional leadership will be provided, with potential for full-time conversion based on performance.Specialized Focus AreasIndustrial OSHA applicationsHexavalent chromium medical surveillance setupHearing conservation programsHeat stress management in industrial environmentsChemical lifecycle management (ordering through disposal)QualificationsOSHA 511 or OSHA 501Key ResponsibilitiesConduct site safety inspections and employee safety orientationsEnsure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulationsManage hazardous materials and perform site auditsLead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actionsPromote a proactive, zero-incident safety culture through training and engagementMonitor and report EHS metrics, performance, and audit readinessDevelop and lead EHS initiatives, targets, and strategic programsGuide implementation of EHS management systems through leadership and coachingUtilize data-driven insights to improve safety performance and reduce riskManage compliance through audits, permitting, and documentationServe as the primary contact for regulatory inspectionsDevelop and maintain emergency preparedness and operational safety programsMaintain EHS documentation, postings, and regulatory submissionsSupport audits and inspections, including stormwater evaluationsConduct full and partial EHS audits for ongoing complianceRequired Skills & KnowledgeStrong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and manufacturing safety standardsExperience with LOTO, PPE, hazardous materials, and machine guardingExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to work independently and within cross-functional teamsOSHA outreach training experience (preferred)High level of organization, professionalism, and confidentialityEqual Opportunity EmployerSheakley is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
