CNC Swiss MachinistHawthorne, CAWe are an ISO 13485-certified manufacturer specializing in high-precision CNC Swiss-machined components for the orthopedic medical device industry. We produce critical components including bone screws, orthopedic implants, and surgical instruments using advanced Citizen and Star CNC Swiss lathes with Fanuc controls.We are seeking an experienced CNC Swiss Machinist / Setup Technician to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a regulated, fast-paced medical manufacturing environment and has strong technical expertise in Swiss machining.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and troubleshoot Citizen and Star CNC Swiss machinesRead, interpret, and optimize G-code programsPerform complete machine setups including tooling selection, offsets, and first article inspectionsManufacture complex, tight-tolerance medical components (often ±.0002"–.0005")Monitor production to ensure consistent quality and high surface finish standardsUtilize Fanuc controls efficientlyWork with engineering to improve cycle times and optimize processesMaintain ISO 13485 documentation and adhere to medical manufacturing compliance standardsPerform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and other precision measuring equipmentComplete quality documentation and maintain accurate production recordsQualifications3+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss lathes (Citizen and/or Star preferred)Strong understanding of G-code programming and editingExperience working with tight tolerances and complex geometriesFamiliarity with medical device or regulated manufacturing environments preferredKnowledge of Siemens NX CAM is a plusAbility to read blueprints and understand GD&TStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityWork EnvironmentFast-paced, precision-driven medical manufacturing settingClean, organized production floorEmphasis on compliance, quality, and continuous improvementWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on experienceOpportunity to work on critical, life-impacting medical componentsStable, growing company within the orthopedic manufacturing sectorProfessional development and advancement opportunitie
