Able to read, write, carry out directions, and keep simple records. Satisfactory completion of CPR and First Aid and biennial recertification. Accurately take and record temperature, pulse and function under minimal supervision. Ability to communicate with students, school personnel and parents. Knowledge of computers and software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and database type systems.#ResponsibilitiesINCLUDE Accurately maintain, review, record, file and update school health records and use of computer management. Maintain health room supplies, inventory, and equipment. Maintain organization and cleanliness of health room. Document daily activities andstatistics. Notify parents of students regarding absence, illness, orinjury. Schedule, perform, or assist in completion of vision and hearing screenings. Assist in scoliosis screenings. May do diaper changes as needed. Consult with school nurse or Supervisor for instruction and clarification of responsibilities.PHYSICALDEMANDSMedium duty work. Constant handling of under 10 pounds to occasional handling of up to 70 pounds.Standing, walking and handling are performed on a constant basis. Sitting, carrying, bending lifting/lowering, pushing/pulling with whole body and with exerted up to 70 pounds for client weighting up to 220 pounds in height range of 15-36 inches. Adequate vision and hearing to carry out assigned duties.
