Job Description This travel position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide critical pharmaceutical care within a retail pharmacy setting linked to a hospital. The role is based in Haxtun, Colorado, requiring a licensed pharmacist who is committed to delivering excellent patient service and medication management in a busy pharmacy environment. This assignment spans 13+ weeks with the potential to transition to a permanent role.Key Responsibilities:Counsel patients on medication use, side effects, and proper storageAccurately fill and dispense prescriptions in a timely mannerPerform final verifications to ensure safety and compliance with regulationsCollaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare team members to optimize workflow and ensure exceptional patient careQualifications / Desired Experience:Active, clear Colorado Pharmacist license is requiredRecent pharmacist experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to applyStrong patient communication skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently within a small pharmacy team consisting of 2 full-time technicians and 1 PRN pharmacistSchedule:Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch breakFacility and Volume:Retail pharmacy affiliated with a hospitalApproximately 500 prescriptions processed weeklyThis assignment offers a chance to gain valuable experience in a supportive setting with a manageable prescription volume and a stable schedule.
