Lead AV Installation Technician (Local & Overnight Travel)

Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Lead AV Installation Technician to oversee and execute commercial audiovisual (AV) installations across a variety of environments, including corporate offices, conference rooms, educational facilities, and other commercial spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on AV installation experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.This position is 50% overnight travel with 50% local travel.Responsibilities:Lead and perform commercial AV system installations, including displays, projectors, video walls, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and conferencing solutionsSupervise and mentor junior technicians and installers on job sitesInterpret and execute installation plans, drawings, and technical documentationCoordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to ensure smooth project executionRack, mount, terminate, label, and test AV equipment and cabling (Cat6, fiber, HDMI, speaker wire, etc.)Configure and test AV systems to ensure optimal performance and functionalityTroubleshoot and resolve installation and system issues efficientlyEnsure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry best practicesMaintain accurate documentation, as-built drawings, and job status reportsProvide on-site client support and basic user training as needed
